Shallowbag Bay, located in the heart of downtown Manteo, is one of our favorite condo communities because of the amazing views from most units, the spacious floor plans, two decks and perfect location.  In fact, deck space is one of the premier features because of the larger than normal size, at least at condos normally go.  The top floor units are one of the few condos to have actual "sun" decks, not just covered space, and they are large enough to accommodate both a full-size table and several chairs.  There is a super marina right at your door step, and most buildings have room for two cars to park under the building.  There is also ample storage for your kayaks and bikes.  The community boasts an outdoor pool, fitness room and clubhouse, as well as an on-site restaurant--Stripers--which also has a great outdoor deck to sip your drink while admiring the amazing views of the sound.  The majority of condos in Shallowbag Bay are 3 bedroom plus 2.5 baths, but there are a few 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom units.  If maintenance free, condo living is your goal, you might want to take a look at the condos for sale in Shallowbag Bay.
